RISING STEM (OS&Y) AND NON-RISING STEM (NRS) GATE VALVES Gate valves are multi-turn valve with full port flow path. They are ideal for full open and full closed position and are available in rising stem or Non-rising stem configuration. They are available with flanged ends, butt-weld ends, and socket-welded and screwed end. When fully open, the typical gate valve has no obstruction in the flow path, resulting in very low flow resistance.
